Secret streetcar documents revealed following court ruling

There has been some chatter lately about this “secret” streetcar document discovered by Duke Energy.
The initial reports have suggested that the City of Cincinnati may have shared some information about utility work that it should not have. But thus far the information has not been made available to the public, and a recent ruling by Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Carl Stich says that the document should either be destroyed or returned.
With all the rumors circulating we thought we would finally put the matter to rest. It’s not about utilities or finances. It is instead about a proposed marketing strategy, discussed internally at City Hall, that would draw inspiration from Peter Witt Streetcar ads in the early 20th century.
The issue came to light following the refusal by the State of Ohio to offer any financial support to Pure Romance. Family values representatives from both the state and the ubiquitous COAST seemed emboldened following their efforts to drive Pure Romance south of the river to the debauchery stricken State of Kentucky.
We have included one of the ads intended to frame the initial marketing campaign for Cincinnati’s modern streetcar system. Due to the recent blow-back, however, city officials are now scrambling to figure out a more family friendly marketing campaign that will appeal to COAST.
