Cincinnati Streetcar: Did You Know?

Chances are if you are a resident of Greater Cincinnati and/or a visitor of this blog, you may already know that the City of Cincinnati is planning the construction and operation of a Streetcar system through its urban core. But, there may be a few facts about the Cincinnati Streetcar project that you do not know.

Did You Know?

  • The first phase of the Cincinnati Streetcar will cover a 4.9-mile route connecting Downtown, Over-the-Rhine and Clifton.
  • The Cincinnati Streetcar will make 18 stops along its route to many of Greater Cincinnati’s most popular attractions, including Fountain Square, The Banks, Great American Ball Park, Paul Brown Stadium, Music Hall, Findlay Market and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
  • Seven modern streetcars will be used to operate the Cincinnati Streetcar.
  • The streetcar will run up to 18 hours a day and 365 days a year.
  • Each streetcar will hold up to 170 to 209 passengers.
  • Cincinnati’s Streetcars will easily accommodate passengers with wheelchairs and bicycles.
