It feels like it hasn’t stopped raining all week. It would be great to be able to hop on a streetcar to get out of the rain on your way to lunch, a meeting, or to return materials to the library.

You still get drenched walking to and from the streetcar. Better to use the library’s convenient covered drive-through window. Then you and the books both stay dry.

Are you really making the argument that I wouldn’t get any less wet from walking 20 blocks from Clifton to OTR than if I could take the streetcar from campus to OTR and only had to walk the two blocks from elm street to my home? Don’t be so elitist Mark, we can’t all afford to have two cars and pay for parking.

Mark, you’re grasping.

Waiting in the rain for a streetcar sounds like fun!

Fortunately, every streetcar stop will have a covered shelter to keep you dry when you are waiting.

But so could every bus stop, couldn’t it?

Bus stops don’t increase the value of the surrounding neighborhood – they just sit empty waiting for no one to use them. So, essentially, they’re a waste of money.
